Catherine Streutker completed medical school followed by her Anatomic Pathology Residency program at the University of Toronto. After this, she completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology at McMaster University. In 2001, she joined St Michael’s Hospital and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto as a gastrointestinal pathologist. Her research interests are primarily mucosal immunology, Barrett’s esophagus and tumours of the upper gastrointestinal tract. She is presently the Chief of Laboratory Medicine at Unity Health Toronto.
